ABOUT NOEL SMITH
“Miss Noel” has taught private music lessons for over 10 years and loves bringing the joy of music to the hearts and minds of children and adults. Noel established “The Music Studio of Noel Smith” in 2017 and has taught 100+ different students over 4,000+ private music lessons since opening.
Noel graduated from Bellevue High School where she participated in numerous performing art groups including chorus, band, theater, worship music, piano lessons, dance classes, and more. Noel continued to pursue music in college and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree of Music Education from Capital University. In addition to music lessons, Noel has taught dance lessons, written and directed children’s programs, directed children’s choirs, and taught numerous classes at public schools including K-12 chorus, K-12 general music, and show choir. Noel has a variety of other professional experiences including working on a Disney Cruise ship as a Youth Activities Counselor, working as licensed Real Estate Agent, and operating an in-home Daycare Service.
Noel’s favorite instrument is the piano and she has been playing since she was 5 years old. Noel is thankful her parents pushed her to continue piano lessons even during tough phases. Learning to play the piano has offered a lifetime of valuable skills and a delightful career.
When Noel is not teaching music lessons, you could find her cooking from scratch in the kitchen, taking long hikes in the woods, or enjoying a s'more around the campfire. Noel is happily married to her husband and has two small children.
